Personal Message

"We are some 11,000 Christians scattered across the Islands in a population of one million living according to the Muslim faith. We have little in the way of material goods.

The program on which we have set our hopes is dependent on deepening the faith we have received as gifts through Christ, on strengthening the trust we have in the constancy of The Father's gracious Providence for us, and on widening the horizons of divine love that fills us through the presence of The Holy Spirit.

While we struggle to build our schools and dispensaries and to carry out related social services, we are called to live our faith openly, express our hope confidently, and show forth our love in the care we have for our neighbor, our society, and our environment. In that witnessing, sharing, and dialogue we can build together with our Muslim brothers and sisters a new Zanzibar, a new Tanzania, a new Africa, a new world."
